Consisting of 6 tented rooms overlooking the Okavango floodplain, this agritourism project is all about an indigenous botanical garden and an organic chicken farm that supplies the restaurant at the lodge. The concept is designed to include natural ventilation and sun orientation to all buildings. The lodge is powered by solar panels and all waste water from the lodge is treated and re-used for irrigation.

Located in the Moremi Game Reserve, this tented camp needed a renovation of their standard Meru tents. We created a second roof with wooden poles and laths to protect the canvas tent from the heat and sun and to blend into nature.

We were asked to refurbish an existing house by demolishing internal partitions and substituting the existing roof with a new one made with traditional grass and exposed beams. The bigger new windows give a good amount of light for the new open spaces.

16 tented rooms each with a Chobe River view in Kasane. Using canvas, steel and wooden decks these tents hang over the water for several months of the year, creating an amazing feeling of blending with the river. In the main area is an infinity pool which makes you feel as if you’re swimming in the river.

This tent was designed in 2019 and has  4 versions for 4 different locations – Delta is for water landscapes; Desert for dry and hot; Discovery to blend in the bush; and Design for a more modern look and location with clear color and design objects and textures.
